7U-14U: This is an OPEN tournament but intended for Rec or lower level AA/D3 teams!

HIGH SCHOOL: This is an OPEN tournament, ALL are welcome!

7U-14U: $425 + Gate fee

High School: $450 + Gate fee

 

Fall 2022 CFBBA teams will receive a $50 discount. Contact Stephanie Castro for a discount code to use at registration.

Charitable Gate Fee

$150 per team

Gate Fees will be donated to Metrocrest Services. Gate fee can be paid cash, Venmo, or Zelle starting a week prior.

Formats

3 Game Minimum; 2 Games: Pool Play on Saturday. If 8 teams or more, split to gold/silver brackets for Sunday; Single Elimination Bracket Play on Sunday; Champions & Finalists of each bracket take home rings!!

League age determination date is their age as of MAY 1, 2023.

We are NOT able to honor the report card or grade exception rule since we use dual age groups in our league. 

 

High School Division:

Open High School: for current high school teams.  Fall ball teams welcomed.

Rosters

Rosters must be submitted by Thursday, October 13th by 11:59PM

Please submit rosters (including first/last name and DOB) to:  tournaments@cfbba.org

Players MAY NOT play on more than one roster in a single tournament.


Rosters will be emailed from DocuSign. Confirm/sign your roster hold harmless by Friday, October 14th at 11:59PM

Check In

  • Check-in at least 45 minutes prior to the start time of your 1st game.

  • Pay gate fee. 

  • Provide proof of insurance (non-CFBBA teams). Proof of insurance can be emailed to tournaments@cfbba.org prior to check in. 

  • Rosters MUST be signed through DocuSign prior to check in.

Baseballs

You'll need 2 new baseballs and 2 gently used baseballs per game.  We do not provide baseballs as part of your registration.

7/8-13/14 Youth

  • USSSA Rules w/caveats on CFBBA Site (use AA rules), plus....

  • CFBBA teams must play with the roster submitted during tournament registration.

    • You may add players from outside of CFBBA but need to be included on the roster submitted.

  • CFBBA’s Fielding Rotation rules do not apply.

  • CFBBA’s R3 rule does not apply.

  • Dug-outs are first come, first serve.

  • For Pool Play, a coin flip will determine home/away.

  • For Bracket Play, the higher ranked seed will be the home team.

  • No pitching limitations, but coaches are strongly advised to use sound judgment, while keeping each player's health a top priority.

  • A pitcher may NOT re-enter as pitcher in the same game, once removed.

  • Pool play games will be 1 hour 30 minutes, finish the inning; No new inning once time has expired; Pool Play games may end in a tie.

  • Bracket play games will last: 1 hour 30 minutes; finish the inning; No new inning once time has expired; In case of a tie, extra innings will be played up to 6 completed innings.  If after 6 innings are played, the game is still tied, the following Tie-Breaker will be used:  last 3 batters that batted load the bases, 2 outs, 2-1 count on each batter

  • Mercy Rules are: 15 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5, ALL divisions

  • Mathematical Elimination DOES apply, NO CUMULATIVE. 

  • There shall be a 5 run cap per 1/2 inning in 7/8 & 9/10.

  • NO RUN CAP per 1/2 inning in 11/12 & 13/14.

  • Please arrive early and be ready to take the field 30 minutes prior to your start time. 

    • FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN A FORFEIT.

  • Please have birth certificates on hand in case of an age protest.   

    • Protests must be made within the first 45 minutes of the game and will require a $100 deposit.  If the player/coach cannot provide a birth certificate, the player will be considered illegal.

  • Teams may NOT use players from other teams playing in the same tournament.  (Teams will forfeit all games and be disqualified from the remainder of the tournament). 

  • Ejections: Any participant (player, coach, spectator, etc.) ejected from a game will be suspended for a minimum of 1 game (subsequent game). The Umpire-In-Chief and Tournament Director will enforce any game suspensions depending on the severity of the situation.

High School Division

  • Game Time Limit: 7 inning games – no new inning after 1 hour 50 minutes

  • Mercy Rules are: 15 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5

  • NO RUN CAP per 1/2 inning

  • No pitching limitations, but coaches are strongly advised to use sound judgment, while keeping each player's health a top priority.

  • Home/Away:

    • Pool-Play: Determined by a Coin-Flip

    • Championship/Bracket Play: the higher seed is home team

  • Games may end in a tie for pool play games.  Bracket games must have a winner. 

    • Tie breaker: If a game has exceeded 7 innings or if time has expired: last batted out on 2nd base with 1 out. Batters have a 2-1 count.

  • Tiebreaker in standings will be determined by win/loss, head to head, then differential

  • Teams may bat the entire line up and have free defensive substitutions.  Teams may have a DH and EH. 

  • Courtesy runners for pitcher and catcher.  With 2 outs a courtesy runner is mandatory for the catcher. 

  • Starting pitcher may re-enter the game. 

  • Teams may NOT use players from other teams playing in the same tournament.  (Teams will forfeit all games and be disqualified from the remainder of the tournament). 

  • Please arrive early and be ready to take the field 30 minutes prior to your start time.

    • Players do not have to be from the same high school.  

    • Players simply need to be registered in high school. 

    • In the event of a protest, the player must provide a photo ID (school ID ok) and record from their school i.e: report card, attendance report, schedule, etc. (digitally or on paper).  So we can match the name to the photo ID.

    • If you have a player that can not provide the above items, it is the responsibility of the coach to reach out to the Tournament Directors BEFORE the tournament weekend, to come up with a game plan should your player get protested.

Inclement Weather & Refund Policy

  • If the tournament is canceled due to inclement weather, prior to any games being played, a 100% refund will be issued.  

  • If a team only completes 1 game, due to inclement weather, 2/3 of the registration fee will be refunded.

  • If a team only completes 2 games, due to inclement weather, 1/3 of the registration fee will be refunded.

  • Once bracket play begins, no refunds will be given.

  • If bracket play games are not completed, due to inclement weather, rings will be awarded to the top 2 remaining seeds in each bracket.  

  • When discussing inclement weather, a game is considered complete after one inning is complete.

  • Any team disqualified from the tournament will not be refunded.

  • If a team withdraws from the tournament with at least 7 days’ notice, a full refund will be issued.
