CFBBA starts its new league year each Fall season, and the Spring season ends it. The Fall season is considered a developmental season to prepare for the Spring season. CFBBA follows USSSA's age guidelines for division age cutoffs.
The player’s age on that date determines his/her “League Age” for the entire league year. This means that the player’s age on May 1, 2027 will be his/her league age for both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 seasons.
Determine your child’s age as of May 1. This is the league age for baseball that should be used to determine what age division to play in.
Example – If the league age of a player is 11 on May 1st, then the player is eligible to register in 11/12U.
Players are allowed to play up one full league year without the need for league approval. The player has to be within our league age to be eligible to play one year up. Players wishing to play up should register for the division in which they feel most suited.
Entire teams that choose to move up together should understand that they will not be permitted to move back down as a full team the following season. Any players who are not league-age eligible for the lower division will be redistributed throughout the league.
Players cannot play down in a younger division for any reason, no exceptions.
